Salmon Fishing on the Sacramento River Out of Corning and Red Bluff
We are getting some really big 25 pound fish in Corning and Red Bluff, CA drifting Roe and fishing lure. We are not reaching our limits but the giants we are catching are some of the largest we've seen in a few years. This weekend should be a busy one, it's going to be crazy!!!

Labor Day Weekend Salmon Fishing
It's great fishing even though the boat traffic is really heavy this last week. It has been the most active fishing we have seen this season! Almost all boats are getting fish and nets are up throughout the river.

King Salmon Fishing Corning to Red Bluff
We are in the heart of the king salmon season and are fishing from Corning, to Anderson, California. It has been pretty consistent with long full days of fishing being the norm. Roe fishing has been the most popular with lure fishing also going strong. I will be booking Winter steelhead trips from October through December.

Giant King Salmon are Here!
We are getting some really big fish up here out of Red Bluff drifting Roe and backtrolling lures. Most days we are getting at least a couple of fish weighing over 20 pounds. On average we have 4 to 8 hookups a day. The Balls Ferry area is fishing well also with some steelhead starting to show.

Salmon Steelhead Combos!
I'm doing combo trips already and have been getting some nice steelhead every day, ranging from 5 - 7 pounds. I would suggest for all my clients that are coming up to get a punch card, these fish are the best eating fish around. We are also getting some giant kings the last few weeks with some hitting the high 30 pound range! On average we are catching 4 to 6 fish salmon a day.

Giant King Salmon!
Well, we finally got the giant that we were looking for! The boys from Fresno managed to hook and land over 16 salmon in two days with the largest king salmon weighing 43-1/2 pounds. The steelhead fishing was also fantastic with action all afternoon long. Our combo trips really break the day up with heavy tackle fish in the early morning, moving to super light tackle in the afternoon. The fishing is really excellent throughout the river so book a trip for an action packed day!

Steelhead Time!
We are still catching giant king salmon and doing combo trips with all three species of trout, salmon, and steelhead daily. This is the month when these steelhead fish start showing up in larger numbers. The average size of these fish is between 5 and 7 pounds. The salmon that we are catching currently ranges from 17 - 25 pounds.

Steelhead Salmon Combos
It's steelhead time! This giant 29 inch, 9 pound fish took Lori for an awesome run up and down the river! My daily trips are a combination of all three species, trout, salmon, and steelhead. The salmon we are catching are huge this year! Every day we are leaving with 25 pound fish.
